Who we are
Officially known as the Rhondda Rose Society, we are the biggest of our kind in Wales. In an attempt to widen our audience and attract new members, we took the decision to rebrand the society online as the Rose Society of Wales. At our rose festival, social events and meetings we will continue to be known as the Rhondda Rose Society. We're hoping this choice will help current and potential members better understand who we are and help us continue to spread and encourage the love of roses for many years to come.

Our Objective
As the biggest rose society in Wales (UK) the Rhondda Rose Society's objective is to spread and encourage interest in the cultivation of roses. We see the importance of sustaining, improving and sharing our knowledge in not just roses; but all horticulture.

RRS Rose Festival
Each year we hold the society's annual rose festival. Anybody can enter or visit the show. The year 2015 saw us host our festival in the capital of Wales, Cardiff, for the first time ever. The move to St Fagans National History Museum was hugely successful and we look forward to returning in the years to come.

Expect endless displays of floribundas, HTs, miniatures and so much more as some of the UK's top rose growers come to showcase their talent. Further information >>

Every month we hold special events with a variety of different topics. Our events are held on the second Wednesday of every month from 19:15-21:30. Events are for members only, but we welcome anybody to come along and try it out for free. Information on our next event can be found here and for the whole year of events click here.
